This is a common problem across all motorhome brands. Once our coach is level we manually raise the front just a little to help water run off. Also, when closing pull the slide in about half way and wait for all the water to run off. We still tuck an old beach towel on top of the closed slide to avoid the shower at the 1st stop:)
Be sure to leave a note to check for the towel by the control so you don't get it caught during the next opening.
